For long-duration pieces involving multiple compositions together, I will provide a prior quote based on the number of parts requiring distinct treatment.
For other tasks such as audio for installations, AV projects, DJ sessions, consultancy, etc., I will charge based on the time spent at a rate of €25/hour.
The first round of revisions for each project is included in the price; additional revisions will be charged based on the time spent at a rate of €25/hour.
Process
-
Provide me with project information in as much detail as possible, along with the delivery date
-
Send me the files along with references and all the information to include in the metadata.
-
I will then send you an initial draft to listen to.
-
Once you are satisfied with your masters, I will send you all the required versions and formats for your music. At this point, full payment for the work will be required.
Various considerations
Above all, there is no such thing as a stupid question: I will be happy to clarify anything necessary to bring out the best in the project. With that said, here are some technical considerations. If there's anything you don't understand, just ask:
-Please do not use "brickwall" limiters in your final mix to achieve more volume or reduce peaks. In any case, if it's an artistic decision, a compressor or limiter is perfectly valid.
-A peak reference value is around -3dB; it's only a reference, and any value will be valid as long as there is no clipping in the file.
-Send your files in their original resolution; do not change the file resolution when exporting the final mix. A bitrate of 24 or 32 is always preferable.
-Send us all project information along with the files to be mastered exactly as you want them to appear on the album: names, track names, album title, as well as ISRC codes if you want them included in the files sent.
-Make a copy of your files before sending them.
-Please ensure you are happy with your mix before sending it; also, check that it has no issues or unwanted noise. If you need to send a new mix later, it will be treated as a new mix for mastering, so make sure to send the correct files.
